-Sixteen tons and what do you get? sang good old Tennessee Ernie Ford.

16 tons

Sixteen tons of clay were delivered to the CTC yesterday. Billy built a dandy chute over the garden. The flatbed truck loaded with clay pulled up alongside the fence on Willard St. The clay comes in mountains of eighty pound bags. Two guys from the crew climbed up on the bed of the truck and threw the clay onto the chute. Three guys caught the bags down below and stacked them on pallets. Bob Doyle filmed some of the action.
