Tennis Club News Page

Wednesday, May 3

We are OPEN. The back courts will open at noon, the front later in the day. The crew is standing out on court one, now, waving their arms and shouting: OPEN.

We were royally rained out on our opening day, yesterday. What else is new? Well, here are a few bits of news:

There will be a memorial service for Peter Tannenwald at the MIT Chapel on Wednesday, May 10, at 2:30, with a reception afterward at the MIT Faculty Club.

Tips:

If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you will see a thermometer. It is an icon and a link. If you click on it, you will be transported to a Boston weather page, a page with forecasts and ads for products and services which we in no way endorse. Try it, though: click and be transported.

We know that your interest has been piqued, wicked piqued as the kids would say, about the website. We urge you to go to the weekly computer jamboree at the Doyles' house. Thursday nights at 7:30. Cookies are served.

For those who missed all the pictures of the New Members party, here's a link. And don't forget to click on the tiny honeycomb "hive" icon below to get a dated list of all our past issues.

Court conditions:

Did we say OPEN? Or soft, yet open.
