Thursday, May 4

The courts are open. We were afraid, for a while there, that we would not be able to say that, but would, maybe, miss the season. The courts are open. The words give us a little thrill, no?

A Note from the Manager:

I'd like to thank the crew for its hard work and, I guess, endurance this spring. We had to redo our work a lot. It was tough to keep up our morale, but we hung together and we hung tough. Thanks to Joe, and Phil, and Pat (the Ironman), and Tom Wassner (the quick learner).

And thanks to you members for your patience.

-Bill Crusco

The last nail.

Court 1 net goes up.

Setting the tape height.

Singles on court 3.

Paula Cortes serves one up.

Court conditions:

The year's at the spring,
And the day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hillside's dew-pearled;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in His Heaven-
All's right with the world!
