Weather and the courts: There are people playing squash now, or racquetball, or computer games - indoors. Indoors! Can you imagine? Playing tennis at the CTC these days is like running through the fields, barefoot, singing tra-la, the butterflies landing on your nose, Pete Sampras and Bambi smiling at you from Longfellow Park.

Autumn Leaves, the chemistry of: Why do leaves change color? Find out here.

          Autumn

A touch of cold in the Autumn night --
I walked abroad,
And saw the ruddy moon lean over a hedge
Like a red-faced farmer.
I did not stop to speak, but nodded,
And round about were the wistful stars
With white faces like town children.

          -T.E.Hulme

Court Conditions: Wondrous fair.
