NEW SEASON

The Cambridge Tennis Club kicked off the new season with its annual meeting and cocktail party last night. The meeting was short and snappy. The party was roisterous. Technically, the new season doesn't begin until March 15, but the opening party feels like the start of the new season. And if this particular opening party was any indicator, the new season will be a doozy.

We will try to post the President's letter soon, along with late-breaking developments. Right now, the water is (secretly?) pumping out of the pond and we hope for an early opening.

Note: Way, way down at the bottom of the Newspage, there is an item that looks like this: Requests Version: 51 | Series: 4284. That little bit of business is a counter. But you knew that. Since the first newspage of the season, on Feb. 27, 2002, the newpage has had 51 hits.

Reservations Note: A head-scratcher, no?

The Yearbook link will take you to the last newspage from 2000. From there you can see the whole of the Persistent Archive of last year's news.

Website Note II: The honey-comb icon is also a link. It takes the clicker to an archive of all the past news pages so that you can read the news pages for the whole year (2001). The less-than link (<) next to the honeycomb icon will take you to the last issue of the news.
